This pranayama breathing exercise is a Kundalini meditation that guides the pranic energy through the body in a way that boosts our immune system, both on an energetic level and a physical level. We begin by tuning in, an essential part of our Kundalini practice that prepares our body, mind, and spirit for the work we do during our at-home practice. Then we use the hand gesture, Surya Mudra, as we practice Breath of Fire. This is a prescriptive practice in Kundalini yoga that is designed to support your immune system and purify your nasal passages. (If you don’t have any experience with Breath of Fire, read through my blog post below.) This is a simple practice that can be done anywhere at any time but is especially powerful first thing in the morning. I love using it to energize my day and strengthen my immune system!
