More than 150 servicemen from Ural tank division of Central Military District got vaccinated against COVID-19 in the Chelyabinsk region, Russia’s Defence Ministry said on Monday.
According to the ministry, the servicemen as well as the division’s command personnel got vaccinated. The ministry said that more than 700 servicemen at the Central Military District have been inoculated so far.
Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu announced the start of mass COVID-19 vaccination in the army on November 27 as mandated by Russian President Vladimir Putin. More than 400,000 servicemen are expected to get the vaccine.
