You can take reasonable precautions for novel viruses without “Living in fear”, as many would say. In fact, fear – and stress – lower your immunity and make you more vulnerable. It’s almost like there is a middle ground here… But this is the internet so don’t tell anyone or we will all stop arguing for five seconds!

Jokes aside, we really can improve our immunity very simply. Namely – improving our overall mental and physical health. Enter Qigong.

Qigong was developed over thousands of years in China as a form of self directed healing using mind, body, and breath. Most Qigong is done standing and with movement, but Qigong also includes a wide range of seated meditation and breathing techniques that are equally useful.

Here I present a few internal practices and principles for optimizing your chi to produce maximum immune efficiency. Feel free to try this along with my other standing/moving practices;
